PCJSS/JSS key persons:
Sudha Sindhu Khisa, President/ Rupayan Dewan, Vice President,/Tatindra Lal Chakma, General Secretary/. Responsibility shouldered on 11 July 2013.

Background: The present central committee was elected on 11 July 2013, on the 2nd day of the 3-day long 10th PCJSS national conference. The earlier committee (convening committee) was formed on 10th April 2010 when Mr. Santu Larma convened the 9th national conference (29-31 March 2010) in sheer violation of the party constitution and excluded a few hundred veteran leaders and members and also "formally" expelled 7 top veteran leaders (Chandra Sekhar Chakma, Sudhasindhu Khisa, Rupayan Dewan, Tatindra Lal Chakma, Eng. Mrinal Kanti Tripura, Advocate Shaktiman Chakma and Binoy Krishna Khisa) and also declared their capital punishment. The present leadership is determined to democratise the JSS under a collective leadership.

Matiranga Upazila map
Two cases have been filed with Matiranga polic station at around 5:00 P.M. yesterday by Mrs. Alo Rani Chakma and Mr. Chikanchan Chakma for killing a 2-moth-old boy and for destruction of 2 Buddhist temples in Tendyong Union of Matiranga Upazila on 3rd instant.

Mrs. Alo Rani Chakma of Bandarshingh Para, a Matiranga attack victim, sued a murder case for killing her baby (Ashamuni) who died of Pneumonia because of fleeing from village and spending day and nights in monsoon rains without any shade over heads in jungle. The baby was taken to Khagarachari Hospital  and could not be saved there.

Mr. Chikanchan Chakma, temple management committee secretary of Sarbeswarpara Janashaktipara Buddha Vihar lodged a case for destruction of Manudaspara Janaseba Buddha Vihar and Sarbeswarpara Janashakti Buddha Vihar at Tendyong by Bangali Muslim settlers.

1 accused was arrested yesterday and it helped raise the number of arrested Bangali Muslim accused to 11/12 persons in the first case lodged with Matiranga police on 5th instant.

A victim reports to the CHT Voice that with the cases filed against the attackers the entire Tendyong area is now quiet and calm, as there is no any displaying of might against the Jummas for filing the cases. With the opinion of the petitioning party, it seems that the Deputy Commissioner of Khagarachari Hill District is showing positive gesture for bringing the culprits to justice.
